Class 6 took the stage and rocked out - The Plain Dealer
Class6 has combined hip-hop and rock and roll to create a unique sound. The band has been compared to Gym Class Heros, 311 and The Roots. They want to bring music back. Good and original music without a dance to go along with it. - Plain Dealer

Fusing hip-hop rhymes with rock instrumentation, Class 6 is on a mission to challenge the Roots as America’s favorite live rap act. The sextet, hailing from Glassboro, New Jersey, cites Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, and Ray Charles as influences for their uncanny ability to meld musical styles. Vocalist/MC Chris Bell’s smooth lyrical flow is backed by guitar, bass, drums, piano, and synths, creating a distinct musical concoction that transcends description and defies categorization. Their predilection for creating new and exciting sounds is evident in the uplifting “Nostalgia,” a major-key anthem laden with airy synths and funky wah-wah guitar leads.

Bio
During the month of September, 2007 six talented musicians came together to form the group Class 6. Each member plays an essential role in the group, collectively making the perfect ingredients for success. They grew up admiring the ability of artists such as Jimmy Hendrix, Ray Charles and Michael Jackson, to make music that transcends gender, race, and generations. These artists made timeless music that appealed to the mass public, crossed genres and ultimately brought people together. This is the very standard in music that the group hopes to reestablish, thus naming himself Class 6, a status they will continually strive for. Class 6’s ability to seamlessly mix hip-hop with rock, while infusing synthesized sounds with live instruments gives Class 6 their unique sound. Dedicated and determined, the group has recently released their first studio album, and is readying themselves to emerge as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
