On October 26, the National Portable Storage Association (NPSA) was the fortunate recipient of the talents of Clara McVille at the annual conference held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada. (Ms. McVille was in attendance at this industry event because her father, Steve McVille with ProBox in Houston, TX, is a major participant within the NPSA.)
Knowing the talent sitting within the audience, the NPSA Executive Director, John Finnessy, asked Clara if she would participate in the NPSA's talent show. With over 600 attendees in the audience, a cheer went up when Ms. McVille was introduced. Clara rocked the house with her energy, creativity, and stage presence. Her songs unfolded lavishly ranging from a silky, cashmere voice to rafter-rattling lyrics that had the crowd on their feet the entire time.
The NPSA will long remember the performance given by Clara McVille and for her generosity of accepting a request to entertain our audience at the last minute. - John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director, NPSA
At a packed event of 3,000 plus in Reliant Stadium on Sunday, February 7, 2010, Clara McVille took the stage to pay tribute the late Selena with her delivery of the song, "Always Mine." The crowd was lavish in their reception and response. All that I could think to say after Clara's performance was, "That was better than American Idol." Bio
Clara's live performance is beyond electrifying!!! Performing a set of favorite country rock, Americana, and original favorites, audiences are making it known that this is "one over the top band." With a long time background in musical theatre, Clara definitely brings her dancing ability and vocals together for an outstanding show.
Clara headed to LosAngeles straight out of high school, and there she began vigorously pursuing an acting career. But it was on a visit back to her native Houston that a perfect music opportunity presented itself.
With producer Gary Katz (Steely Dan, Joe Cocker, Diana Ross, Three Dog Night, and many more), and Grammy-winning recording musicians, Clara came out of her first studio experience with ten tunes, and one in Spanish - each song allowing Clara to express her diverse talent. Two singles (China Doll and Always Mine) were released in digital format on iTunes through Stadium Entertainment/EMI. A "6-pack" Concert Edition is now available on CD Baby and Amazon.
Clara has performed all over Houston, including the House of Blues, Rodeo Cook-off (opened for Rick Trevino), the Kemah Crawfish Festival, Whiskey River, Crescent Moon, Dan Electro's, and in Bossier City, LA, where she opened for John Michael Montgomery, along with The Kentucky Headhunters, Johnny Rodriguez, and BB Watson.
Trained in commercial, stage and film acting, improv, voice and piano, Clara has had supporting and lead roles in many short and independent films, been featured in numerous TV commercials, both regional and national, and has also taken the the stage in around 30 theatrical/musical productions.
