Chronic Edge

Chronic Edge is a Chicago based original rock band that represents a unique and addictive style of music captured by smooth and melodic qualities and expressed by driving rhythms, hard-hitting back beats, and explosive energy to form an interesting blend of music that simply "sticks in your head".

Chronic Edge is the inspiration of singer/songwriter, Vince Devincenzo. The band strives to accomplish a single mission; to create powerful dynamic music that dwells deep into the minds of a global audience. Line-up changes and life situations are challenges that all bands must face, however, lucky timing brought a convergence of talent and chemistry, with positive energy.

Setting themselves apart in a music industry filled with many bands having a 'cookie- cutter' sound; Chronic Edge has found that magic formula; to create unbelievable music, and do what they love. The band's name is derived from the style of music they write. "Chronic" for the more hard rocking harmonic, and melodic side of the band, and "Edge" is the experimental side, with orchestrated instruments; to get a more edgy atmospheric sound, and a different ambiance. The band wanted a name that would catch the public eye, and one that left room for a wide variety of music. Chronic Edge has played many local venues.... The members of Chronic Edge are professional in every aspect, from their persona, stage presence, and musicality, and give it their all in their live performances.

Chronic Edge's live shows are best described as an experience you will feel as well as hear. Bassist Tom Kocal knocks the audience flat with intricate/ sophisticated bass lines, coupled with the "Hammer of Thor" drum beats delivered by Steve Jaeger. Chris Borg compliments the band with melodic backup vocal harmonies and keyboards, and Michael Zamora will blast you into another time zone with his shredding lead guitar solos. This powerful quartet is the perfect compliment to the epic rythum guitar and lead vocal melodies of singer/ songwriter Vince Devincenzo.

Chronic Edge's polished professionalism has made them a favorite opening act for national artists including
Enuff 'Z' Nuff, The B52's, The Fixx, Flock of Seagulls, Missing Persons, and Tommy Tutone.
