A beautiful guitarist with a Tracy Chapman quality to her. I was very touched and moved by her whole performance as she is an artist who really comes from the harte (or heart). Her gift entitled “Crystal Ball” is a riveting song about the journey of changes in life and how to Deal With It all to use the title of her debut album. The most moving was her ballad “Just Listen”, which is a song that is being hailed by many life coaches as a mantra of healing and I can see why as its emotional intonation brought me to tears. In Vernon, we were also treated to her cover rendition of the Four Non Blondes hit “What’s Up”, which had the audience really into her vibe and goes to show you that its simplicity that often makes a performance the most real, raw, vulnerable, and from the heart. - Gonzo Magazine

Bio
Singer/songwriter Christina Alconcel was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and for the most part raised in Coquitlam, B.C, Canada. In November, 2007, Christina decided to teach herself how to play the guitar. Less than 2 years later she teamed up with Harte Music Productions producers Nick Hope (Blaming Taylor, Indelibles) and Martin Acosta (Outmatch), combining her love of rock with a soulful twist to create the 12 songs that make up her debut album, “Deal With It.”
