Bio
Christabel Antonia Spratt, known professionally as Chrissy, is an independent R&B Pop singer/songwriter born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. She started her journey in 2010 when she began uploading cover songs and original music to her YouTube channel, which now holds over three million views. She has released a mixtape of original music that can be downloaded from her website www.onlychrissy.com.
In September of 2010, Chrissy joined forces with Montreals DJ Uppercut. Fusing her catchy melodies and lyrics with his up-tempo beats, they produced two songs (Bootleg in the Gun and We Will Fly), which were first introduced to over 15,000 people at the 2011 Bal en Blanc, one of Canadas largest raves. She has had the opportunity to perform at large venues such as Red Lite afterhours, POP Montreal Festival, The Canadian Tire Centre, the Lebanese Festival and Barrymores. She has also had the honour of performing for the Polish Ambassador during his farewell party, performing for CHIN radio at their 10 year anniversary gala, and opening for international rapper Pusha T.Chrissys music has been played on Canadian and American airwaves, such as Ottawas CKCU 93.1 and CHUO 89.1, Torontos CKXS 93.1 and L.As 93.5 KDAY. She has worked with reputable deejays, producers and artists from Canada, the UK and Australia, and has ongoing projects with musicians across the world. She has been featured in magazines such as Always Therro and Pop Essential Magazine, while her songs have also been used in film such as Puppy Luv Movie.
In 2013, Chrissy teamed up with Ottawa Idol to host their top 20 showcase at Place DOrleans Shopping Centre. She appeared as a host and guest judge during the final round and took part in crowning the 2013 winner. She has been featured in the Metro, Ottawa Sun and the Ottawa Citizen Newspapers, as well as on Rogers TV and has been invited this year to take part in a new television series called Ottawa Originals, which will air on Cogeco TV in early 2014.
With such a loyal fan base following her every move, Chrissy is continuously writing and releasing new music. On February 1, Chrissy released her new single titled Do You, along with her first official music video filmed by Raw Footage Productions.
