Bio
Choix is a high energy alternative rock band, whose songs are guaranteed to grab your attention. Driven by the powerful vocals of Melinda Martinez, the soulful guitar playing of Fletcher Allen, and lively rhythms of drummer Wes Hawkes and bassist Justin Jerz.
Choix influences span many musical varieties leading to a one of a kind listening experience. Taking flavors from classic rock, blues, and even hints of jazz and soul, the group delivers a refreshing new spin on modern rock music.
The band is currently in studio at Reseda Ranch Studios, with producer Fernando Perdomo (Durga McBroom-Hudson, Linda Perhacs, Andy Pratt, Zak Schafer, and many more). The band's first single "Shine" was released in May, and is an upbeat driving song for summer. Choix is due to release more singles over the summer of 2015.
Choix is more than just a rock group, they are working with other artists and entrepreneurs to build a social enterprise called "Out of the Box Arts". OTBArts is a collaboration of artists that work together to bring the arts to our communities. Choix started this group themselves to change lives and spread joy through the arts. OTB aims to work with all members of communities including those who are less fortunate, such as kids in hospitals, homeless shelters, seniors, patients and more. A portion of all of CHOIX's proceeds go to OTB Arts.
