Bio
Chloe Jacobson is a Kansas City based singer/songwriter, originally from San Jose, CA. She began writing poetry from a young age. An observant and sensitve child, she poured herself into writing, entering poetry contests and keeping dozens of poems in journals. In her early teens she began experimenting with putting her poetry to music. With influences like Feist, Billie Holliday, Regina Spektor, and Suzanne Vega, she pushed herself to discover her voice and her sound. As a senior in high school, Chloe became a part of a local studio in Grandview, MO. Here she joined daily with other producers, songwriters, and artists- learning audio engineering and production techniques that afforded her the ability to record and produce herself. She continued to hone in her passion and began performing locally in 2015. Her songs touch on the harrowing innocence of adolescence; painting portraits to purvey the human condition; with a voice that has the folky warmth of a vintage record with sharp influences of jazz and soul.
