Bio
Growing up CHARMAINE:
Up and coming mega Pop/EDM sensation CHARMAINE was born and raised in Hacienda Heights, California into a multicultural family.
CHARMAINE originally went to school to become a doctor to fulfill her parents' wishes, but she had another dream, a dream to rock the stage and showcase her unique charisma, attitude and style to the world. As a child, CHARMAINE was extremely inspired and had a deep love for artists such as David Bowie, Pink, Missy Elliott, Pat Benatar, Depeche Mode, Cyndi Lauper and Michael Jackson.
CHARMAINE's passion and purpose is to be an agent for empowerment and to give a voice to the underdog.
The Break:
After finishing school, CHARMAINE started out in music by writing acoustic songs and performing at local venues. With her amazing voice and influential style, she eventually came to the realization she had something very unique to offer the music world.
With help from Michael McCary (Boyz ll Men) and Bobby Jones (Producer on "So You Think You Can Dance"), CHARMAINE started writing songs for other artists while writing and producing songs of her own in the Pop/EDM genre.
This led CHARMAINE to defining her own style as an electrifying artist and was invited to join the Recording Artist Guild (RAG).
Recognition:
Myspace Relaunch Featured Artist. In 2013, CHARMAINE was named "Featured Artist" on Myspace as part of the Re-launch Project led by Justin Timberlake.
2014 L.A. Pride Festival Performer. CHARMAINE's amazing voice, inspirational lyrics and rebel like attitude made her a favorite in the LGBT scene. In 2014, she had the opportunity of performing for her fans on the Pride Festivals Tour, sharing the stage with her own idols such as Jennifer Hudson, Dev and Bonnie McKee. CHARMAINE is currently working on her second album, music videos and a US tour.
