"sisters Rebecca and Jordan Stobbe -- have crafted some of the most beautiful and authentic nods to the great folk music movement that permeated coffeehouses and nightclubs across America in the 1960s. Their music is more than a mere homage, though; they have quickly created a name for themselves in today's scene thanks to their pristine harmonies, beautiful musicianship and honest lyrics." - The Boot, Chuck Armstrong
"Journeying deeper into their lives, the sisters continue to release a translucent honesty cloaked in classic folk rock harmonies that are, at moments, reminiscent of another time." - American Songwriter
"The Rays will reign because harmonies are only half of their magic. Penchant for rocking out –they play bass, electric, acoustic, and harmonica while singing, and it makes them the most exciting thing happening in folk-rock today." - American Standard Time, Sean Jewell
" [Charlie and the Rays'] record is high energy fun, with fantastic arrangements and great performances. Produced by Shawn Simmons who once again made a really cool sounding record.” - RFI Mastering
“Charlie and the Rays make sunshine-y, Vitamin D-rich, folk pop.” - The Stranger
“The band’s music is as down-to-earth as its members, channeling the likes of...Elvis Costello to create an oldies vibe with a new-school twist.” - Seattle Weekly

Bio
Charlie and the Rays is lead by two sisters, Jordan Stobbe (bass/vocals, 24) and Rebecca Stobbe (rhythm guitar/vocals, 22), with friends Patrick Hagan (drums), and Ian LeSage (lead guitar/vocals). The sisters began playing playing and writing music as teenagers, getting their first taste of performance from belting out classic rock and oldies tunes, and some of their first original pieces busking on the streets of Pike Place Market in their hometown of Seattle, Washington. Their passion ultimately led them to form a full band, and begin creating music that highlights powerful female vocal harmonies and melodies, exuberant guitar licks and basslines. They are now based in New York City pursuing their music career.
