Chameleonize

The Bovine will host shows down the street on Friday and Saturday. Friday's lineup includes Chameleonize, Trigger Effect, Titan and Sloan's Patrick Pentland acting as DJ. The cover is $10 at the door. Billy Talent (who will soon be the opening act for My Chemical Romance's U.S. tour), The Creepshow, Latefallen, Black Lungs and others will play on Saturday night starting at 9 p.m. for $20.

The Queen West fire destroyed eight historic buildings between Bathurst and Portland streets, laying waste to six businesses, including Suspect Video, National Sound and Duke's Cycle. Their second EP "meet Chameleonize" was mixed at Jeremy Darby's Canterbury sound by Sam Ibbet. The EP was marketed on their 2007 tour which included stops in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Charlottetown and Moncton. We saw Chameleonize last night at the Pavilion. As they were setting up Darrell (lead singer) talked to us about Psychotic 4 and how they're going to hang out with them on Friday. We said how we were at the Psychotic 4 show here in April. Then during their performance Darrell said something like "Give it up for the girls in Psychotic 4 t-shirts!" and put out his fist so we could hit them. - CLUB HAVOC

he ferocity unleashed by Toronto police during the G20 was turned on its head Friday evening at the Horseshoe Tavern, as a hardcore punk extravaganza reminded us of the civilian indignities suffered at the hands of those in power.

The show was advertised as Fuck The G20 (on T-shirts, no less), featured Vancouver punk legends D.O.A. and was hosted by local acts The Class Assassins and Chameleonize. - CHART ATTACK

Denis Parker, executive director of the Music Industry Association (MIA) of Newfoundland and Labrador, presents a Flying V guitar to Darrell Shelley, on behalf of Lloyd Bartlett of Village Music, who donated the instrument to the first provincial Battle of the Bands held at Stephenville Dome recently.
