Chakra Bleu is -- hands down -- one of the most original and distinctive pop/rock/Americana artists ever to grace the underground Nashville music scene. Inspired by everything from transcendent New Age thought to the soulful stylings of bands like Heart and the Cowboy Junkies (with whom her co-producer David Henry worked), she has forged over the past decade, some of the most uplifting, electric, thought-provoking, and empowering pop/Americana ever created in Music City. - Dave Carew "Underground Nashville"

How does and artist hope to effect the world? What impact does he or she hope to have? In the case of Chakra Bleu (pronounced Shock-ruh Blue), the passionately desired impact is to bring more beauty, peace, hope, and inspiration to the world. That alone makes Bleu an artist worthy of our respect and attention.
Back in the day, Chakra Bleu was a full-fledged, Fleetwood Mack-esque rock band, playing to large and enthusiastic audiences at clubs like Douglas Corner and the French Quarter (ah...the good ole French Quarter). The band now has been stripped-down to its roots and soul, with just lead singer / songwriter Bleu carrying on as Chakra Bleu. That transition has resulted in music more Americana and country in feel - in fact, several songs from Souvenir #39; have already charted on Country and Indie Country charts - yet Bleu's musical journey still retains its impassioned embrace of love, spirit, and the mystic.
Among the stand-out tracks on this record are "Sabotage", "She Walks Alone", and "Addicted to You", all of which have recently charted. Produced by Chakra Bleu and David Henry (Cowboy Junkies, Indigo Girls), 'Souvenir' is the latest contribution from an artist whose talent and spirit have brought new hope and beauty to our world for more than a decade.

Singer/Songwriter/Artist
Chakra Bleu's music is bold, pioneering, soul-searching, embracing, daring, and has a raw honesty that pushes the boundaries with a perspective that is invitingly insightful and refreshing.
Bleu arrived on the Nashville music scene in 1990. She has performed at the Bluebird Cafe as a spotlight artist and has played other top Nashville venues such as the Basement, 12th & Porter, 3rd and Lindsley and the Rutledge. In February, 1999 Chakra Bleu was granted the Arena Award. This prestigious honor has been granted to a few other artists such as Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Jo Dee Messina and others who have contributed an inspiring presence in their community.
She has co-written with some of Music Rows finest, including Kim Richey and John Foster. When writing alone, she finds that embracing the majestic energy of the Blue Ridge Mountains combined with her cabin retreat at the snow-fed mountain lake in the inland Northwest, is where her creative 'juice' is inspired, and allows for a wealth of lyrical ideas and melodies to be effortlessly awakened. She plays a variety of instruments guitar, bass, piano and mandolin.
Chakra Bleu is electrically magnetic, pulling her listeners in deeper and deeper with every word. She is able to connect with a broad audience base through songs that capture the ups and downs of love and life, as well as including songs that advocate equality and empowerment. Her audience base reaches from the United States, Europe into Australia and Japan.
Experiencing the Rock-R&B//Pop-Americana music of Chakra Bleu is like a natural shot of adrenaline that infuses a person with an invigorating surge of energy.
Chakra Bleu co-produced her previous CD project, titled Souvenir with David Henry. (Henrys credits include Tim McGraw, Ben Folds, Taylor Swift, Widespread Panic and more). Branching out from the pop/rock/roots country style of her previous six albums, Souvenir is a true masterpiece of TOP NOTCH Americana music. Addicted to You, Sabotage, She Walks Alone, and Weathered the Storm are released singles that have blazed up the Top 40 Country Main, Indie Charts and Top 40 Main Charts. Sabotage scoring TOP DEBUT single, charted #8 as well as #4 on the Top 30 Indie Charts. Weathered the Storm is the most recent single released and is moving quickly up the charts.
Its the sweet conglomeration of all the influences of artists Ive had throughout the years, that are in varied genres milling around in my subconscious, that have shaped me into the Americana artist I am today, along with the full-on integrity to write only from the heart, within a disciplined skill of songwriting. --- Chakra Bleu:
