Bio
Carpool Conversation was set up by Brian OReilly Jnr. and Vinny Whelan in January 2008 in Cork City, they built a home studio in Brians house where they could write, record and experiment with music in an unrestricted environment. Brian and Vinny, both multi instrumentalists, had an eclectic writing partnership which took them on many genre-hopping journeys.
Brian moved to London in September 2010 where he encountered the trombone and piano skills of Mr Tom O'Grady; the two musicians are currently recording feverishly.
At a Carpool Conversation gig you would expect to see Brian playing guitar into his loopstation along with sitar and vocals. Brian creates and builds songs live utilising the loopstation to give depth and diversity to his sound. Expect to hear anything from psychedelia and sitar tunes to melodic folk rock with a bluesy roots feel.
Carpool Conversation are putting the finishing touches to their debut EP 'Silver cloud in a room which is to be released in the spring of 2011
