Carlos Castano

CARLOS CASTAO is an independent musician from the Philippines. His music is a reflection of the multitude of stories that hes accumulated over the years.

Moving back to the city three years ago, he started writing material for his first album City Light Soundtrack, a 12-song all-original release that was launched in November of 2010 with commercial and critical success around the region and all the way to the United States and Canada. For the album, he played festivals around the region, including Kinestasia and Baybeats 2010.

A year later he begun producing and writing material for his second album, City Light Soundtrack 2: Permanence, which was released locally last March 21, 2012 and internationally the following month. He also played Baybeats Festival a 2nd time around, one of only two acts from the Philippines to be invited twice. That year he also begun the "Independent +" tour, a multi-country roadshow that gave Carlos the opportunity to not only share his music but his stories as well.

A few months after, he released an EP called "All the Beautiful, Different Things" while on tour. He also begins touring the region to support his upcoming release, City Light Soundtrack 3: Back to Color, Back to Safety with confirmed dates in 6 countries. He's recently played at the Music Matters Live Festival and at Formula One Singapore.

Influences are everything and everyone in Soul and the Blues side of Pop music from Stevie Wonder to John Mayer to Gavin DeGraw.
