While you’ve already heard Malcolm Jabriel, we decided to include this project in our #FreshPicksFridays segment for the addition of Atlanta based MC and additional Guru Treaty member Cam Major. This 8 track project is the perfect mix of both artists, you’ve got Jabriel lacing each beat with smooth sensual vocal melodies and then you have Cam bringing the heat with smart lyricism and a voice that completes each track. If you’re a fan of great hip hop/R&B, this project is definitely one you will enjoy. Really showing out for Atlanta we can’t wait to hear more from Cam Major, and we can expect to hear more from Malcolm Jabriel soon. I’ve heard of Cam Major before but I have never really indulged in his music. Yesterday however the ATL buzzmaker delivered his new mixtape entitled The Major Tape which the artist really hopes with solidify his place in the game. Cam Major is a 26 year-old hip hop artist from Atlanta, Ga. From
the first time he performed, Cam Major has been capturing audiences across the east coast
with his killer freestyles and showmanship. His freestyles have won over the likes of
BET with his 2012 win of their HBCU Freestyle Competition. He has done many shows in the Atlanta area as well as many out of state venues and different colleges. He even had
the opportunity to open up for Pusha T in spring 2013. In 2014 Cam Major was selected to be apart of the A3C Festival in Atlanta where he was featured on various stages on the event. In April 2015, he dropped
his first official project entitled "The Major Tape" then the followup "No Running Allowed" in November of that year. In 2016 Cam Major not only opened up for Nipsey Hussle but also got a chance to be apart of the SXSW Festival for the first time where he touched various stages across the city. Cam Major is currently headlining shows across Atlanta and constantly working on new music.
