Bio
New York-based musician Burn Mics started creating rhymes and hooks as an eight-year-old, growing up in the Northeast Bronx. An early addict of the stage, he began scribing for school talent shows and local events. As his experience and fan base grew, Burn Mics conquered open mic events and began recording in various studios in the tri-state area.
A fixture in the hip-hop circuit since the 1990s, Burn Mics has been affiliated with Natural Elements, Scram Jones, Beat Bros., Swizz Beatz, Juggaknots, Gritty Tracks, among others. In 2010, he opened Start2Finish Recording, a decade-long held dream. Collaborating with established artists and up-and-coming talent, Burn Mics has released material on mix tapes and DVDs.
Influenced by musical greats---Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Tupac, LL Cool J, Cameo, Marcus Miller, and Slick Rick---Burn Mics found his voice, fusing his experiences in life and love with the gritty reality of New York living. Backed by tracks that travel innovative roads while still paying homage to hip-hop pioneers, he will take you through beats and into his everyday magic.
