Burn After Reading is an Orlando based rock band comprised of members from former Orlando bands Madeira, Hydrosonic and Texas band Riven. Forming in early 2012 the band has spent the past year writing for their debut EP "Understanding Grey" produced by Jason Aaron Adams which is due late January 2013. The band played their debut show at the House of Blues in Orlando in September of 2012, and they are beginning a string of shows in support of their debut EP.
With musical styles ranging across major genres the band combines big rock songs with pop choruses, melodic big guitars, and catchy hooks. The band has a style that has been compared to Anberlin, Rise Against and even the likes of Thrice. Their live show is just as lively as their debut EP, with three guitar players each playing diverse different parts over each other, with driving basslines, big drums and soaring vocals.
