Ok….on 1st listen, this is the order that I liked the 6 songs: Pluribus Shout It Captivated The Wayz BBoyz Boogie Prizm I actually liked it ALL. While most of my musical-likes tend to lean more towards ‘rock’, I really do like the jazz-funk influences mixed in. The guitar player is really great, and reminds me of a more jazzed-up Vernon Reid. The singer reminds me of sort of a cross of Robert Cray meets 70’s EWF. The Bass is smokin’, and lets the other guys just take off in any direction. If I only had one thing to change…it would most HAVE to be the drums. They need to sound ‘fuller’? I think if the drums along with the Bass were fatter, then the guitars and keys would most certainly shine much much brighter. The singer, sometimes difficult to understand exactly what he is saying…but I really DO like the sound of his voice. Pleasing to the ear, whether I know what he’s saying or not. I would buy the album, AND go see you guys play ‘live’. Hope you enjoy my comments. I’m just being 100% Honest and Objective.

I really enjoyed this CD. Even after multiple listens the music is fresh and funky. I really hear the influences of old time funk with even a bit of jazzy vocals. Plus, the bass and guitar rocks! Have some serious FUN with the Boyz from Jersey.
Old style with a new twist.

Nice to have a band without screaming vocals, Bass player has a funky edge to him. Very nice sound - The Court Tavern
