"Interview with Singer Brian Cade"

Can you give a small bio who is Brian Cade?

I am Brian Cade a 19 year old artist from Fresno Ca. Since I was young I’ve loved music I want to be the best to ever do it and thats what i work towards everyday

If you had to name one music influence that helped you with creating your own style who would it be?

I have so many but if I had to name one I would have to say Stevie Wonder he is so classic but still so Raw.

Do you write your own music? If so what is your songwriting process like?

I write all my music it all starts with the music. After i hear the beat that gives me all I need to tell the story of the song.

How have you developed musically since your first recorded song?

I have learned to love music more than I did when I first started because it started as a hobby but now it’s became my life.

So you just released your mixtape Do It For The Love, now are you currently working on a new mixtape or an album at the moment?

I was going to drop a mixtape on July 4th but i am pushing it back to create a buzz and bigger fanbase and I want this one to be the best I’ve made so far so im not gunna rush anything. - aStanStill.com

"MIXTAPE REVIEW: Brian Cade “To U With Love”"

Brian Cade is a fun, charismatic lyricist that knows how to command a track. The title of the project may imply that he’s a secret agent, but it’s clear that Cade’s assault on the rap game is no secret. “To You With Love” is great. In a rare turn of events, the amazing quality of the mixtape is honestly solely on it’s star.

Brian Cade has a great style. It’s a little old school, but I would be a lier if I said his flow didn’t resemble some of the standout newcomers in the game. The big difference with Cade though, is that he definitely has a gift when it comes to making accessible, but smart lyrics. He also has a great persona on the mic, which makes his lyrics likeable. This is important for grabbing an audience even after the club songs die down. Brian Cade can do this with ease.

The project opens wonderfully with “To U With Love”. It’s a great introduction to Cade as a rapper, and it serves as an amazing tone setter for the project as well. The production and mixing are also worth noting on that track. Cade’s homage to the West Coast, “West Coast Flow” is a fun ride. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it actually adds to the charm of the track.

“End Of The Road” is a deep, introspective look into the mind of Cade, but it’s a little too heavy for me. The tone of the project just didn’t call for this song. Maybe the content is fine, but it just needed to be packaged differently. The next track “Superhero” is one of my favorites on the project. Some of the singing is a bit over the top for a track that has horns, and big sounds, but the track is pretty good otherwise.

The next couple of tracks are more or less dedications to a couple of legends, hence the titles “Legendary” for all three, with each artist that it’s dedicated to laced with parenthesis. Of all of them the “Tupac” one is my favorite. “He Won’t Go” is great, although I’m hearing a lot of rappers hop on that beat. It’s not like you can stop it, but if you lace an overdone track with a nice flow, you can’t really get mad at the guy.

There are a couple of filler tracks, and then “Still Dope” hits. It’s big beat paired with Cade’s personality make this a shoe in for that VIP night at the club. Pop Bottles, and pull models to this one for sure. As materialistic as this song is, CAde follows it up with a very honest, and all around well-meaning track. In “Live Ya Life”, he uplifts the hardworking women of the world. It’s inspirational, and I’m sure he’ll get some points from the females with that one. “Hold On” is great as well, it gets a little mundane, but it’s still good by industry standards.

Brian Cade’s “Outro” is the best track on the project by far. It’s smooth, and Brian lets loose with his lazy, but witty flow. It is the kind of sound he should get comfortable with, because he shines with it. The project isn’t a jaw dropper, but it most certainly is an eyebrow-raiser. If you weren’t hip to who Brian Cade was before listening, his name is definitely on your mind after. It’s a great effort, and I’m looking forward to the next mixtape/album. - RapRise

Bio

Hello! Brian Cade is an upcoming R&B artist from California. I've been striving to set trends in the R&B field for going on 10 years & it all started with my high school boy band named "The Fantasy Boyz." After high school I was blessed with the opportunity to open for Jason Derulo at the annual county fair & since then I've gone on to open for artist such as, YG, Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, Collie Buddz & Salt-N-Peppa to name a few. Many people tell me that R&B is dead or dying out but i'm a firm believer that R&B is only transforming and on it's way back and stronger than ever.
