With a voice that’s got a Grunge Folk edge somewhat similar to Brad Roberts of Crash Test Dummies and a musical style that’s versatile, Boris Buhot is hard to peg.
You gotta like the synchronicity of a band called UNITED TRUCE playing a gig
Remembrance Day! Of course, if the band wasn’t any good it wouldn’t be worth noting,
but this group, judging from its debut cd, 1041, and by
solo performances I’ve seen by frontman BORIS BUHOT, should
deliver a solid , high-energy show that also has substance when
they appear tonight at Oshawa’s (926 Simcoe St. N.)
Songs like “Hey You”, “Crossfire”and “We’ll Be Flying” will get your brain
dancing along with your body.
Even on more laid back tunes like
“Holy Ghost” or “It’s A Shame”

Even on more laid back tunes like
“Holy Ghost” or “It’s A Shame”
there’s a latent, almost menacing
energy in the background of the
Crash Test Dummies-style
vocals.

Bio
Started learning on the piano at 10 years of age,
then bass,
then guitar,
then vocals.
I write music to feel right about who I am, and the more I play the more I feel it fits into the puzzle of life. Grew up in Toronto, Canada. Loved the Beatles as a kid and have come full circle in appreciating them as artists and as visionaries. Influenced by BTO, The Clash, English Beat, Sex Pistols, Bowie, Radio Head, World Party, Nazareth, John Martin, James Taylor, and many local artists from Southern Ontario.
