Bio
As a boy growing up in Chicago and the son of famous drummer Robert Barry who has played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Sun Ra, Boi. had a very unique and innate foundation for rhythm and melody that shaped his views on the world and gave him purpose.
As an artist in this new digital age of information Boi. finds an interesting niche in the music community combining elements of trap and hip hop beats with textures inspired by the realm of electronic and lo-fi. Combined with avant garde lyricism that shy's away from structure and embraces chaos Boi. gives a sonic package that is truly unlike his predecessors.
With a mission statement deeply rooted in the internal battle we call spirituality, Boi will challenge what you think you know about faith to give reassurance to your mind, body and soul and relay a sense of peace.
