"channeling the spirit of 70’s-era Pink Floyd and My Morning Jacket" - VENTS
"We aimed to capture the spirit of "Brokedown Palace" while interpreting the song our own way. This recording features just Kieran and I on all instruments and vocals, but the goal was to have it feel like a band,” says Dykowsky. “The companion video for our version of the song features in-studio recording footage, and the full band running the song live at our rehearsal space. Keeping with the spirit of BLUEOX and the Grateful Dead, the source material is coupled with trippy animations, liquid light visuals, and lyrics." - GRATEFUL WEB

Meet BLUEOX – A psych-rock band channeling the spirit of 70’s-era Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, and Fela Kuti. The band’s most recent single “Fearless," a Pink Floyd tribute premiered with Juxtapoz.
Their singles “Black Star Road” premiered with American Songwriter, and their song “Walk Tall” was recently featured in Variety in support of the Black Visions Collective.
At its core, BLUEOX is Kieran Sullivan (Cecilia Celeste) and Donny Dykowsky (Chesterwhite). Their haunted melodies and blood harmonies imbue each song with a life truly earned. As producers and multi-instrumentalists, the duo compliment each other by pushing boundaries on records and in their live shows.
Named after Kieran’s blue Ford pickup, the first BLUEOX session took place on April Fools Day, 2018 - the day his work truck was stolen. “I landed at a local coffee shop where I first met Donny, and we had an inspired chat about our influences,” says Kieran.
“From there we hit my studio, threw up some mics, and 2 hours later we had written and recorded our first song,” says Donny.
Their debut EP begins with a Pink Floyd tribute of “Fearless,” followed by a trilogy of songs that satiate your curiosity of the afterlife, and the wanderlust of the human condition. Since it’s release, BLUEOX has become a top-20 ‘most added’ artist on College Radio.
