- Tom Smith
"Singer/Songwriter Blair Hansen is probably an artist you have never heard of. She is quite possibly one of California's hidden musical treasures though…and she's still a teenager! This young woman's rich full voice and superb songwriting is certainly far beyond her years. "

"All the marks of a major star in the making, Blair is already an accomplished guitarist, an insightful songwriter, a confident performer, and a versatile singer. She is already at the point it takes many artist into their mid-20's to reach. Seldom have we seen so much talent and potential in one so young; keep a serious eye on this gal!"
- Rosalie Howarth
"Even the notoriously snarky American Idol judge Simon Cowell would have to heap praise on the pitch perfect vocals of 17-year-old Castro Valley singing sensation Blair Hansen."
- Brett Schaeffer
"Hansen displays a vocal range and complex lyrical phrasing unusual from someone of her tender age. And on the CD's bonus track, "Too Young to Die," she paints a gray, moody picture as ominous as anything created by fellow songwriters David Gray or Ani DiFranco."
- Chris De Benedetti
"Blair delivered her song Too Young To Die live on KALX with as much accuracy as I had heard it on the c.d. She is truly a talented young girl who will make her mark."
- Radio Host "Ginger Lee"
"Blair Hansen is a young singer/songwriter from the bay area whose poetic lyrics are beyond her years with rare melodies and hooks that keep you listening and humming her songs for days. You'll be hearing a lot about her in the near future."
- Tom Patrick
"I just wanted to let you know that I've been listening to Blair's CD this week. WOW! Blair you have an amazing talent that could someday shock you. You have a great voice, see all that training really is great! But even better right now, you have a natural talent for writing songs, and your so young. I'm very impressed! Someday I will be either watch you on the Grammy's or I will see one of your songs being played. Keep up the faith."
- Kim McAbee

Her vocals are soaring, passionate, and warm, which mirror the emotions of her words. At only twenty-five years old, Blair Hansen exhibits the wisdom and perspective of a woman who has already experienced much in life. Blessed with a crystalline, transcendent voice and a startling ability to write deeply moving lyrics, Hansen is among San Francisco's most promising talents.
Blair’s music and effervescent persona, showcase the heart of a young artist who has already found her own style and place in a music world cluttered by artificiality. Blair Hansen's feelings are felt through each shimmering note of her acoustic guitar and the unguarded sincerity of her vocals.
Hansen observes life with an unblinking eye and a poet's ear. From the radiant glow of her debut album “Blair Hansen” to the sun-drenched energy of her sophomore album "Smile", there is no doubt that her third album “Real World” is by far the best as it is electrically brimming with timeless charm, unapologetic edge and songs that will keep you humming for days.
Blair Hansen got her start vocally in classical music at the age of nine where she trained for six years. After receiving many accolades in classical vocal music from California University music professors, the teen years brought on the urge for her to pick up the guitar and express herself through original material. It only took less than a year for Blair to write and record her first full length debut album-released when she was only fourteen. With the support of her father and manager, Steve Hansen, Blair was accompanied by a full band of professional musicians (Daren Wilkerson, Clay Bigham and Scotty Robertson) who helped showcase her talents in and around the San Francisco Bay Area and the entire West Coast. A few noted performances include; sharing the stage with Susan Tedeschi in Golden Gate Park, opening for Dar Williams and Girlyman at San Francisco’s historic Fillmore and a performance on San Francisco’s Main Stage for their annual Pride Festival.
The momentum grew and attention flourished as fans eagerly awaited Blair’s sophomore album “Smile” released when she was eighteen. She further showcased her music at South By South West in Austin, Texas, a slew of radio stations and international compilation CDs and was contacted by many magazines and newspapers for stories-Curve Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, Daily Review, Diablo Magazine, Datebook, Singer Magazine (to name a few). Hansen also won San Francisco’s Bands 4 Bands Award for Best Vocalist of the Year.
Now twenty four years young, Blair is also composing award winning music for movies and documentaries such as Hannah Free, starring Sharon Gless (Burn notice, Nip Tuck, Queer as Folk, Cagney and Lacey). Though her new album “Real World” was only recently released, Blair has already won two OUT Music Awards for her songs “Break Away” and “Real World” (Outstanding Country/Folk Song and Humanitarian Songwriter of the Year).
