Bio
Black James Franco began playing music in the small, musically-rich town of Denton Texas in 2012. Since then, they have built a reputation in their hometown playing various shows big and small, ranging from countless house shows to nationally-renowned music festivals such as 35Denton and local Denton-favorite Oaktopia Music Fest.
In October 2013, they were nominated for a Dallas Observer Music Award for Best Jazz Act in recognition of their experimental and ambitious songs.
In March 2014, BJF's debut album Sun House was released. It can be heard at www.blackjamesfranco.com
Since their formation, BJF has worked hard to expand their fan base across TX and neighboring states in cities such as Austin, Houston, New Orleans, the DFW Metroplex, and Norman.
