Black Amber - Self Titled 2009

Bio
Black Amber is a band that strays away from categories and labels. They have many influences that echo in their music which, in the end, is a fully original product. The music at its core is natural, organic, and very earthly. But then layers are added and added to create music that is both calm yet intense, dark yet bright, beautiful yet rough around the edges.
The band its self is comprised of four very talented young men. These men are JB, Kevin Brooks, Miguel Cullen P, and Andrew Giese. They have worked all their lives to create original music. Founded back in 2007 by both Kevin Brooks and Andrew Giese, the band has undergone major reconstruction over the numerous years of its creation. Many, many changes. Until the line-up was completed with the addition of JB, and Miguel in 2009.
Here today lies a much more complex band than most in the industry. The music is rooted in a deeper connection to the Earth. Through this connection to nature, Black Amber creates music that has depth. To use the physical to inspire the abstract is a process not many perform or even understand. But through hard work, Black Amber has begun to master its particular sound.
In late 2009, Black Amber entered the Solid Sound Recording Studios located in Hoffman Estates. Under the leadership of master engineer John Towner, they created a magnificent work of art. It was the first recording attempt with the new lineup.
Now the band has chosen to plunge in to the new year, all guns blazing. Already working on new material which sounds even better than their first attempt. The new material is still in its infancy, but it can already be said that it has a much more progressive feel than ever before.
