Birds in Weather is a Brooklyn indie rock trio whose meteorological moniker is more than just an excuse to put birds on their artwork (though that does tend to happen). Comprised of a painter, an opera singer, and an alcohol distiller who were brought together by floods in both Brooklyn and Denmark, BiW craft dynamic, Velvety art-pop songs. - Breakthru Radio

Bio
Birds in Weather is a Brooklyn based rock trio that plays reverb-drenched mid-tempo rock of an unpredictable temperament. The songs are built on a foundation of catchy, simple tunes wafting up from the bottom of a dried-out well.
The members of the band are Hans Viets (vocals and guitar), Mads Bagge Lange (bass) and David Lewis (drums). They are based in Red Hook, Brooklyn, N.Y.
The band exists because of the weather. David and Hans met in Williamsburg when Flood Studios flooded. Mads met them in Red Hook when Denmark flooded. This unlikely combination could not be forecast:
David is a distiller of alcohol, Mads is an opera singer. Hans is a painter.
As unpredictable the weather can be, so is the music of Birds in Weather. The songs are dynamic. Tempos are elastic. The structures are refreshing.
Bird in Weather has been compared to Joy Division, Talking Heads, Neil Young, Television, David Bowie, Nirvana, early Cure songs, and The Velvet Underground.
