El nuevo quinteto de Antonio Fernández da rienda suelta a una música lounge que no cae en el sopor muzak y consigue configurarse como un vehículo para explorar unas posibilidades armónicas y sonoras que pueden ser relajantes sin por ello dejar de ser creativamente estimulantes.
Con el propio Fernández a la guitarra hawaiana, Lucía Díez al violonchelo, Natalia Álvarez-Arenas a la marimba, Cesar de Frías a la batería y Chiaki Mawatari a la tuba, este quinteto madrileño consigue trasladar al oyente la sensación de alivio que el medicamento que les da nombre proporciona al tratar el vértigo y las náuseas relacionadas con los viajes. ¡Resérvese su asombro, respetable público! Lo mejor de Biodramina Mood aún está por llegar, es un grupo muy joven. Pero el sonido de este quinteto madrileño ya es potente. Así que no es mala idea pasarse esta noche por la Sala Galileo Galilei (c/ Galileo, 100), donde presentará en concierto su primer trabajo (Centrifugado Magnético), una colección de temas instrumentales de tendencia lounge y chill out. El sonido de Biodramina Mood es muy ecléctico, porque procede de un conjunto muy heterogéneo de instrumentos (una marimba, un chelo, una tuba, una guitarra hawaina y una batería) y se nutre de influencias melódicas procedentes del cine, del pop, de la comedia... Atención a la cachondísima versión del popular éxito de A-ha Take on me. El precio de la entrada es de siete euros. - Duende

Biodramina Mood is an instrumental music quintet made up of marimba, tuba, Hawaiian guitar, cello and drums. An atypical band that intends to defamiliarize the formal rigidity of certain instruments, creating a fascinating and new atmosphere of sound that will not leave anyone impervious.
This is the first-time that a set of instruments like this gets together. Since they all possess a very wide range, every musician can be bass, background and even the leading voice —multiplying timbre possibilities that create unique textures and soundscapes unparalleled in contemporary music bands.
The group consists of musicians of very different trainings and styles: from classical to electronic music, through rock, blues, jazz, film scores, New Orleans, new wave… A hotchpotch of experiences that gives the musical arrangements a very distinctive and original style.

The band started in Madrid at the end of 2008, and it soon started performing in the city’s most prestigious clubs. They have also been in several radio programs broadcast internationally and have recently published their first album, Centrifugado Magnético (Magnetic Spin). A collection of lounge style instrumental tunes, composed and arranged by Antonio Fernández, the band’s guitarist. The album also includes a cover of A-ha’s classic Take on Me.
Biodramina Mood is especially motivated to make a show out of each concert. The audience is curious about the instruments they see on stage and the particular environment they generate. The band has managed to accomplish performances that are both interesting and fun, a rare combination music-wise.
