It’s the last week of March and TT The Bear’s Place in Cambridge has a solid lineup of must-see shows in all genres to end the month with a bang. Tomorrow night, March 26th Nigerian-German hip hop/soul singer Nneka visits the club for an intimate performance. She is celebrating the release of her newest album; Soul is Heavy, released February 28th.
If pop rock is more your thing, Florida natives Go Radio play Tuesday night, appearing with This Providence, Tyler Carter and Simple as Surgery. Go Radio features the former lead singer of Mayday Parade. They recorded a great version of Adele’s hit “Rolling in the Deep,” and have recently announced that they have completed their second studio album. This show is all-ages and starts at 6:30pm.
Wednesday night, Red Bull Records’ Scottish rockers Twin Atlantic perform an 18+ show with some up-and-coming Boston bands, All Echoes Return, and The Okay Win. Twin Atlantic have been supporting their latest album Free since it came out last spring. They are a treat to see when touring the states, definitely a band not to miss.
Thursday night, Brooklyn, NY folk indie veteran rocker Tim Fite performs in support of his recent release Ain’t Ain’t Ain’t. Billy Dodge, a Boston reggae folk acoustic rocker opens this show.
On Saturday the 31st, controversial rock act Foxy Shazam play to a sold-out crowd. This Queen-esque wild band known for their theatrics and over-the-top lyrics, recently released their new album The Church of Rock and Roll. This is sure to be a show that will go down in TT’s history. If you aren’t already going, you’ll have to cruise craigslist or Central Square Saturday night to find tickets. - The Examiner
