BilliBlade is a reggae artist from Hollywood, Florida. Growing up in Kingston, Jamaica it’s no surprise that his roots shine through in his music like the North Star in a summer night. “20 to Life” is a song that makes you move as soon as it starts. You can just sway back and forth to the reggae feel the whole way through. When “Searching” starts you get that same reaction but this one follows a different beat and the lyrics stand out a bit more than the last. It’s about looking for that perfect girl; most have been there. “Live It Up” sounds like the father of a Sean Paul song, it’s more demure than a club hit but still brings about a good time. SOUTH Florida-based singer Billiblade takes a stand against racial injustice in his latest song Rise Up which is released on the Orcamusic Entertainment label.
With the Trayvon Martin case still fresh in the minds of many persons of colour, Billiblade says Rise Up is a call to action.
"I felt the need to speak out. The crime rate in Florida has seen more violence against teenagers with no criminal records being fatally shot just because of the colour of their skin," he told this column.
Rise Up is based on the recent violent incidents against African-Americans and teenagers in Florida where the unarmed Martin, 17, was killed by Latino George Zimmerman, in February 2012. Zimmerman was found not guilty last year of second-degree murder under the state's controversial Stand Your Ground law.
The song is featured on the Dayz Dunn EP which was produced by Orcamusic Entertainment which is owned by BilliBlade, who is originally from Braeton, St Catherine.
Born Linval Alexander McKnight, he migrated to the United States in 1996.
Billiblade has been around music since he was a pre-teen, as his father owned a sound system called Dynamic Soul.

About The Artist: Billiblade
BilliBlade, born Linval McKnight in Kingston, Jamaica in 1979, has been writing songs from 12 years of age with his first official recording when he was about 21 years of age. His vocal styles and talent for writing is authentic and unique. His music covers all emotions and aspects of life. He has described his style as a blend of Reggae and Dancehall with a touch of R&B and Hip-Hop. He now lives in Miramar, Florida.
From capturing a third place finish at a coast2coast musical event in Miami, July 2015, in which he was the only Reggae Artist featured, to the release of his first EP, RRDH( Reggae Rap Dancehall Hip-hop) and his most recent release, "Yah man", single “, all under his own label, Orcamusic Entertainment, Billiblade has been working tirelessly to get his music and brand to the masses. In Addition to his own projects, Billiblade has also worked on other multiple productions such as the “Good Vibes Riddim” & “Raindrops Riddim” ep with his songs ’20 to life’ & ‘Get you down’ and “Bird flu Riddim”ep with ‘Innadancehall’, produced by Leo Tech Music and City Heat entertainment, respectively. He has been featured in various publications over the years such as the Jamaican Star, The Hype Magazine, The Rhythmic Lounge Magazine,The Lov3rz Magazine( March, April & May 2017 editions). He has also been working the airways. Locally and abroad with Radio interviews on Sun city Radio(Jamaica), Flexxfm radio, BWD Radio Dagr8 fm with a recent feature on the indienation music blog. All US based Radio and media outlets. He is constantly keeping busy and working on his craft.
