"Download of the week + Bonus Q&A"

Most casual music listeners head for the hills when they hears the words “experimental” and “cross-genre.” But hold your horses, Batman, Big Bang TV is here to save the day! With swirling synthesizers, sentimental vocals, spooky electro loops and post punk guitar, this band has it all. After debuting their groundbreaking, four-song EP SEND/RECEIVE in 2007, the band is getting ready to drop their first full length release in September - Ourstage

"Big Bang TV at Union Pool"

Big Bang TV has got a nice thing going on, with their scaled back electro-pop never relying too heavily on the beeps and blips to carry them. They leave that up to boy-girl harmonies and hooks. - L Magazine

"NYC Band on the Rise"

"...powerful and beautiful...cohesive yet multifaceted post-punk-pop. Big Bang TV is for those who enjoy Pavement's reckless melodies and Enon's edgy sound. Their song Hollywood, with its contagious melody and its ever changing musical background, has the potential to be a college radio hit."

- The Deli Magazine

"Big Bang TV makes some noise"

"...a testament to the fact that music doesn't have to be simplistic to be catchy. With guitars, turntables, electric and acoustic drums, bass, and laptop, BBTV cranks out four tracks of oddly appealing pop music...whatever you call it, the end verdict is that it works." - Brick Weekly

"Show review: Big Bang TV at Piano's"

"Brooklyn's Big Bang TV are an engaging bunch not simply thanks to the usual attention-grabbers, say, tunes that get the head bobbing or a set of musicians clearly delighted to be playing. This gang certainly succeeds in those tasks, but the real kicker is the refreshing uniqueness in their utilization of disparate musical elements to form a pleasing whole." - LizandLaura.com

"Radio on the TV"

"...compact, effective and always entertaining...Were there a television station present and broadcasting from the origin point of this four-piece band, we imagine it would involve an early Death Cab for Cutie album, some well-worn DJ Shadow vinyl and a few broken hearts for additional inspiration." - Richmond Times Dispatch

Bio

Big Bang TV is what happens when four people who can't agree on anything try to make music. Matt is a singer/songwriter, Scott is a hip/hop DJ and producer, Joe was metal drummer turned electronic musician, Andrea's last gig was playing accordion for a female folk trio.

Frantic, post-punk guitars stumble in and out of pools of atari synth and turntable chirps. Male/female vocals lazily dance around each other before being swept up by a driving break beat and booming bass.

It’s music that is both catchy and complex, intimate and epic, comforting yet a little creepy.
