Based in Seattle, established singer-songwriter Benni James upholds the legacy of what is the Seattle music scene.
Benni has performed professionally for the last 10 years, picking up the piano at age 13 and guitar at age 15, writing songs as early as 14. His haunting 4 octave vocal range and intimate performances have recieved recognition from both The Seattle Times and The Stranger.
Benni is among the most dedicated artists in his local scene, having organized fundraising concerts for the Wonded Warrior Project, performing benefit shows for MusicCares and always supporting local bands and venues in the Seattle area.
Benni has perfomed regionally at Showbox Market, El Corazon, Hard Rock Cafe, Studio 7, Historic Everett Theatre, High Dive, Hawthorne Theater (Portland), King County Fair, The Central Saloon and every other venue in the Seattle area.
Benni has opened for national acts, Chris Cornell, Tom Morello, The Classic Crime, Emery, Adelitas Way and Stitched Up Heart.
Benni has interviewed and performed LIVE on Green River College's KGRG 89.9 (Auburn, WA), KORE-LP Radio 99.1 (Wenatchee, WA), and has been on rotation for both KGRG, KORE-LP and San Diego State's KCR Radio.
