Bio
Beach Glass has existed since Spring 2015. None of the members knew each other prior to this. The band started with a Craigslist ad placed by Matt looking for “seasoned musicians for weird punk/indie.” Major influences are first-wave hardcore, 80s SST bands and noisy 90s bands that tended to be from DC, Minneapolis, San Diego, Louisville and
Chicago.
Get to know the players:
- Tony - bass: The only Cleveland native in the band, Tony previously played
in a psychedelic, guitar-free band. Tony is tall and uses more effects
pedals than the guitarist. - Darrell - drums: Played in many NYC-area bands, including a guitar-free “power
duo.” He’s also the band’s resident recording engineer and musical
theorist. Darrell has a disturbingly friendly dog. - Matt - guitar: Has played guitar wrong since the early 90s in Kansas, New
Jersey and New York. Matt has never played in a guitar-free band. He is
easily confused and often has facial bruises.
