"You know it has been a long time since I have found a band that I enjoy listening to on repeat. I know that sounds silly but we all do it, don’t deny it. The Barnyard Stompers is one of those bands. Members are Megan Go-Go Wise and Casey Miller. The talent with these two is simply amazing. As stated in “Got me a Trailer” this album will, “blow your f’n doors off!” Their new CD is The Way- Gone, Wild, & Rockin’ Sounds of Barnyard Stompers. There is a variety of different music styles from one song to the next, so you will not get bored listening to this one. From psychobilly to a kind of Irish jig, it’s all here in the 17-track Album. This is a must have for your collection! All right, enough from me; I had the pleasure of interviewing Miss Megan Go-Go Wise, drummer and vibraphone player extraordinaire. Here is the low down on a band you really can’t miss! They have shows coming up in November, visit their website for more information and go check ‘em out!" - Colorado Music Buzz Magazine
Thirteen Ways To Ecstasy, a CD of instrumental jazz music from Vibes on Velvet, gets us off every time! The band members, Megan "GoGo" Wise (Buckwild), Susan Phelan (Rexway, Angie Stevens and many other bands) and Tony "Nascar" Aniscar (Railbenders) lace together some very tasty jazz tunes anchored by Wise's vibes. Vibes, which most of us might incorrectly identify as a xylophone, are a unique percussive instrument that provides a distinct flavor to any kind of music. Vibes can be spooky or creepy or sound like chiming bells. To give those unfamiliar with vibes an idea of what they sound like: The common household doorbell is like a seriously impaired, stripped down, two note vibes. Imagine a doorbell with dozens of notes being played adeptly with as many as four beaters at once (or in rapid succession) and you have some clue. If you've ever heard them before (maybe in the background music of a movie or TV show) you will recognize the sound instantly and be marveled. This album has a few covers, like "Fever" the only song with vocals on the album, sung by upright bass player Susan Phelan. The guitar work that hold all this music together, comes from Tony Nascar, best known for his lead guitar work with the country act The Railbenders. This album is both a fun listen and refreshing change of pace. There are no pretentious lyrics or face melting solos, just good clean music that anyone can enjoy. "Silver Hearse" sounds like it could easily be the soundtrack to The Addams Family or The Munsters, but it's not. There are 3 covers on the album: "Fever"(Cooley, Davenport), "Caravan" (Tizol, Elllington) and "Topsy" (Battle Durham), the rest are all original. "Blue Hooves" has a bluesy feel and drums instead of vibes. "Giblets" also lacks the vibes, but this one has a distinct country ambience. We can imagine that each one of these songs might just help bring your gal to ecstasy, under the right circumstances. It's certainly worth a try...
Buy this album for a nice change of pace.

Bio
Casey Miller and Megan Go-Go Wise are the power duo known as Barnyard Stompers. The two have collectively played in many legendary roots music outfits such as The Hillbilly Hellcats, The Bop Kings, Vibes on Velvet, The Kozmik Kowboyz and Buckwild. They have teamed together in order to combine several generations of Outlaw Country, Texas Stomp, Blues and Rockabilly, creating a new sub-genre known as Backwoods Twang. Barnyard Stompers definitely have a style all their own; however, they hold true to the stylings of the pioneers of roots music such as Johnny Cash, Tex Ritter, Bukka White, Blind Willie McTell, Bill Monroe, Roy Rogers, Waylon Jennings, Carl Perkins, Hanks Williams and more recent artists like Scott H. Biram, Flat Duo Jets, Black Keys, Dropkick Murphys and Junior Brown.
In less than a year, Barnyard Stompers have released a seventeen track debut CD, The Way-Gone, Wild and Rockin' Sounds of Barnyard Stompers and have played more than one hundred shows. The duo has performed in front of fans in over fourteen states. Their new release, The Honeymoon Is Over, is scheduled to be available in mid April, 2013. The Stompers will be touring Europe in October and November of 2013.
Casey Miller plays a mean guitar and harmonica as he sings like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley and Robert Johnson all rolled into one. He also goofs around on the kazoo which always gets a laugh from fans. Megan Wise plays all things percussive and has a big, full sound as she pounds the skins in her very own style that must be heard and seen. She also sings in the style of Kitty Wells and keeps a steady rhythm on acoustic guitar. The Stompers certainly hold their own and the duo runs circles around most four or five piece bands. Anyone who is into real, rocking, down-home music owes it to themselves to check out Barnyard Stompers.
"BUY THIS ALBUM!! Straight-up hell-raisin', barn-burnin', cow-punkin’, hillbilly rock and rollin' from the power duo of Casey Miller and Go Go Wise… There’s even a nod to “Mad” Maynard Horlick in there somewhere."
