Bang Bangs are the business. Sounding like Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Pixies wrestling naked in a David Lynch film, they tell fearless stories about lust and violence, flaming hearts and damnation. Their boy-girl melodies are as big as The Arcade Fire’s, their riffs are the very essence of animal and Buzz Music Review’s claim that the London-based four-piece ‘restores your faith in real music’ just about nails it.
Matt (vocals/guitar), Sarah (vocals/bass), Dave (lead guitar) and drummer Steve have almost finished recording their debut album here at The Crypt and trust us, it’s blinding. Still, the band’s motto is ‘It’s all about live’ and having hammered the South East circuit for the past year you can see why. Bottle Bang Bangs’ passion and energy on stage and you could blow up hell itself. We can only suggest you strap yourself to their bus sharpish. It’s going places.

A 3 boy, 1 girl outfit of quirky dark brooding rock. Like a modern day Gun Club with the Arcade Fire & David Lynch fighting it out in a sack tied at the neck! Awesome. - Bull & Gate
Its a rush that encompasses all thats great about music as a whole. Female and male vocals thread through each other and songs are anthemic without sounding calculated. Result. - Play Music
Once in a while something extraordinary comes from nowhere and restores your faith in real music. The Bang Bangs- a boy, a girl, a bass a drum- sounds simple, but this is special; dark, angry, but with melody for the masses if only they see the light. We did. - Buzz Music
Man can these guys make a sound! With pixie's style infused rawcous rock this double fronted band will make you stand to attention. With a collection of well crafted proper driving rock songs these guys are sure to impress again as they did at their last gig at The Macbeth. - The Music League
"Our engineer introduced me to the Bang Bangs. I've seen them in a very raw form- I've heard all their demos and seen footage of them in the rehearsal room. They're just a really cool band. They've got a lot of elements there and the sound a bit like the Pixies. And there's so much indie stuff around at the moment , it's quite nice to hear a band who are doing something a little bit different. They've got some great songs." - The Independent
A genuinely exciting talent; to strange for the mainstream, too infectious for obscurity. - Surface Unsigned

Bio
Love can be cruel, and cheating hearts the cruelest card of all. When friends Matt & Sarah saw their partners leave them for each other they could either fall apart or form a band. Thus Bang Bangs was born.
With David Russell drawing impossible noises from guitar and Steve Fuller on drums duty, two have become four, locked together in a maelstrom union, and memories of deceitful lovers still hang heavy. With their boy/girl line up and three-minute wonders of melody, feedback and fuzz, its easy to draw comparisons to the Pixies. But these are no sound-a-like, copy-cat revivalists. The furious energy and boy/girl vocal exchanges of Bang Bangs make them a thrillingly original experience.

"When the haunting qualities and shifting discomfort burst into nascent and horribly electric life, its a rush that encompasses all thats great about music as a whole. Female and male vocals thread through each other and songs are anthemic without sounding calculated. Result." Play Music
