Bio
In 2009, Bangarang's sound is being brought to its first zenith as the band continues to release their acclaimed debut album, "Puzzlebits for Personal Assembly". Ambition abounds, but not pretension, as the band plans to release the album online, via their website, completely free of charge. Not only that, but joining the band are a host of instrumentalists - from strings and brass, to a small choir, allowing the music to be taken far beyond the realm of standard guitar-driven rock.
The group has also aligned itself with a plethora of visual artists in order to create a totally encompassing mixed-media experience based around the concepts and themes present in the songs, as well as to create a dynamically interactive live show.
Bangarang has shared the stage with a plethora of great artists including (but not limited to) the Teen Idols, Ester Drang, Starflyer 59, Chomsky, The Heavenly States, The Golden Republic, and the Legendary Crystal Chandelier.
"Puzzlebits for Personal Assembly" is being recorded and produced by Bangarang, Mark Pirro (founding member of Tripping Daisy and The Polyphonic Spree) and Dave Willingham (Lift To Experience, Spoon, John Vanderslice).

PRESS
"[Bangarang] boasts better songwriting skills and a more accessible sound that seems to blend the best of indie rock and alternative rock...a joyful showcase of erratic, spastic arrangements, complete with horns of all kinds."- Redefine Magazine
"Bangarang are an impressive band...their moments of excess work out extraordinarily well, with plenty of juicy noise to sink your teeth into." - Splendid
"Bangarang are an interesting case study of a group in transition. They've outgrown the drive for definitive locality...The terseness and restraint gives me the same spinal shiver as when I first heard The Dears." - Uncritical.blogspot.com
"Oops... need to make a correction from my previous post...music sounds VERY cool. WOW!... keep it up! - John, a new fan via Myspace.
