From their stint as the house band at Sunset
Strips famed Whiskey A Go Go to an appearance at the Sunset Strip Music Festival,
Twenty7 has been fusing Middle Eastern rhythms with alt rock influences since
their inception in 2009.
To date, they have performed over 100 shows across the United States, Turkey, and Guatemala, while sharing the stage with acts as diverse as LA Guns, Street Drum Corps, Death by Stereo, as well as famed Turkish rock bands mor ve tesi and maNga. Now, the band is hitting the road for a 13-stop tour across 9 states in support of renowned Turkish rockers Gripin.
Twenty7 is presently writing and working on their debut full length album, following up the critical success of EPs Papatya (2010) and Love is a Game (2013). The latter was recorded at The Lair Recording alongside Larry Goetz (Big Time Rush, Demi Lovato, Ke$ha, Edwin McCain) and mastering engineer Stephen Marsh (Incubus, Boys II Men, Ben Harper, Ozomatli).
The single Second Mind was featured in the 2012 film About Cherry, starring James Franco and Heather Graham. The song Muhtemelen Ask off Papatya was featured in No Kill, a documentary about animal protection, endorsed by Swedish DJ Adrian Lux and Bon Jovi member David Bryan. No Chemical Love from the same EP was nominated for Best Indie Rock Song at the 2012 Artists in Music Awards and featured in The Run-In, a comedic short produced by Pollution Studios. Their appearance at the Burning Man Festival garnered them the 2012 Burning Man Award for excellence, inspiration, and beauty.
