What do you say about an EP that starts with a title track called “Everything is Better with Bacon,” ends with a song about getting drunk and stoned on the front porch and has a recipe for a boozy Bacon Mary on the back? Really, it speaks for itself. Local outfit Ballgag ‘n’ Chain Gang is known for their raucous, fun-lovin’, string-pickin’ sound, and this little four-song EP is illustrative of that. Consider them Victoria’s answer to Primus . . . with their own ho-tonk twist.

Bio
Ballgag 'n' Chain Gang is a 5-piece juggernaut of sound; a musical sideshow like no other . With 12 instruments, including horns, lap steels, didgeridoo, and banjo, and 3 lead vocals each giving their own unique sound, they take what is great about music, mix it together, boil it down, and run it through some copper pipes and come out with tunes that are high in proof and sweet in flavor. It's more then just a sound, it's a state of mind.
With approximately 200 shows under their belts, Ball Gag N' Chain Gang has proven their ability to get the crowd going. They feel just as comfortable playing small rooms as they do large stages. They have performed at festivals such as Rifflandia (Victoria), South Country Fair (S. Alberta) and Edge of the World (Haida Gwai).
Ho-Tonk is a synthesis of "Urban-ness, Culture-ness and Rural-ness", touching on everything from Bluegrass to Hip-Hop to Cock Rock.
Safety word: Awesome!
