The Jodi Jean Band

I was so fortunate to spend years studying with the late, great Ted Greene who taught me how to think about music and life. Due to his influence, I have been dedicated to this craft in the small hours of the morning. I serve as an executive in an education non-profit and devote the rest of my time to expressing all of the beautiful harmonies I can find. I'm not doing this for the money but out of pure passion. I have gigged over the years in New York (Louis', Smalls, Cornelia Cafe, Greenwich Village Bistro, Anyway Cafe) and Chicago (Glunz, Coobah, Green Mill, Bloomingdale's, Katerina's ) in various formats. I can provide solo jazz guitar or other instrumentations as appropriate. Youtube has allowed me to gain a following internationally; my videos have garnered 100,000 views over the last 18 months. Finally, many audiences love to hear Bossa nova in the original Portuguese-- I do sing in Portuguese and I can book with other talented brazilian singers.
