"Austin Hicks came in for some Music Business Consulting. He wanted an opportunity to speak with someone and get some honest answers for his career in the music business. We discussed his possibilities, established some goals, and things to work for his future. He has great talent and support of a loving family. It was pleasure meeting Austin and his family and hope to see them back at the Junction soon."

Bio
Austin Hicks with his captivating personality, genuine character, and undeniable talent has audiences everywhere standing up and cheering. This up and coming country music artist just released his self-titled debut album featuring “I Still Pledge Allegiance” - an original song penned by Austin honoring the flag and the men and women who fight to defend it.
Austin Hicks was born on October 6, 1990, in Dayton Ohio. Raised in a musical family, this country boy is no stranger to the stage. He began performing on stage with Mom and Dad singing southern gospel music at the very early age of 3. It wasn't long before Austin began stealing the show with his vocal ability. He took the stage with his guitar in multiple musicals and talent competitions winning trophies, money, and scholarships.
In 2008, Austin received a VIP invitation to the Nashville Star’s auditions from an NBC talent agent. He was able to bypass the long lines and perform directly for the show’s producers at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.
Austin soon established “The Rattlesnake River Band" moving full-throttle on the road to his dreams. They have been honing their skills and rocking the crowds from state to state with their high-energy shows.
In the spring of 2009, Austin began working with Junction Recording Studio in Nashville, Tennessee where he recorded his first album. He had the opportunity to work with John Sturdivant, Jr. and Larry Marrs, some of his longtime hero's behind the sounds of Marty Stuart's “Hot Hillbilly Band” from the 1990's. Several high profile chart-topping musicians from Nashville were brought in to play on the album. Austin’s brother, Tyler contributed heavily to his recording sessions playing lead guitar and rhythm guitar on the entire album.
Austin's self-titled debut album was released in September, 2009 – an event that fulfilled a life-long dream to share his passion and enthusiasm for his music with others. “Fire Dancer” was the first song from the album that received radio play and is currently in regular rotation. Austin and his band are looking forward to their nationwide radio station tour in 2010 as well as scheduled performances at larger venues across the country. Austin holds true to his faith and values as God continues to bless him open doors in country music.
