"The Scene Magazine"

"Arkavello fits more great songwriting on their three song EP than a lot of bands do on full albums, with some amazing moments and choruses throughout." - Owen Maxwell

"YEG Music Magazine"

"Songs From The Future is Arkavello’s first recorded album. It is a slow, folk/rock/pop three-song E.P. Short & sweet, this little album still packs in a lot of beautiful harmonies, soft blues-inspired guitar solos and pop drums. At times, this trio can sound like Radiohead, then the next a little like Death Cab For Cutie. And if a band can manage to invoke thoughts of such greats as those, then you must be doing something right. Vanilla, in particular has all the makings of a classic soft-rock song with melodic guitar, smooth bass layered over the vocals it’s a song that you could leave on repeat and find something new to it." - Josh Sawatzky

"The Permanent Rain Press"

"Alberta band, Arkavello, have created a three-song EP titled Songs from the Future. This triad of music from the equally numbered trio is a sci-fi experience with a tranquil filling. It’ll take you on a journey that will make you feel like you’ve got your head stuck in the clouds." - Ingrid Borges

"BeatRoute Magazine"

"These prophets of doom preach positive change for our broken planet Earth. These are songs from the future telling you to open your third eye and plan for a revolution." - Kennedy Enns

"Divide and Conquer"

"Songs from the Future is a solid EP but it goes by quickly. All three of the songs work together but it’s a little bit hard to imagine what an album would sound like. Songs from the Future builds a good foundation but I hope to hear them expand their palette of sounds with a full length." - Ted Rogen

"Starlight Music Chronicales"

"Brand New *Spotlight* Interview on Arkavello on our Website with the goods on their recent release of their album 'Songs From The Future' and we couldn't be more excited to share this with all of you! Enjoy!" - Candice Marshall

"Drayton Valley Western Review"

"Drayton Valley band has a message for music fans" - Mamta Lulla

"Top Songs Of 2015"

"It is that time of year where we look back on what the Edmonton music scene has released in 2015. Narrowing down each of our lists (videos, albums and singles) were all difficult as there was a lot of great music released this past year." - YEG Music Magazine

"Healthy Phat"

Arkavello is an Edmonton three-piece that just released their second EP, Open Heart, and their first since 2015's Songs from the Future. Open Heart is a deeply open, personal and emotional effort, highlighted by the beautiful second track, "Dad", and the lyrical prowess shown on track three, "Open Heart": "I never thought it would come to this, a broken mirror and my clenched fist". The lyrical themes are wonderfully executed and carefully penned.

The music, crafted by John Hutchinson and Riley Frank, is simple and satisfying, structured just so you're hanging on every lyric, building suspense into each next line. Hutchinson's aforementioned lyrics largely explore the theme of love and relationship, and the internal struggle that they can cause.

The band's first ever music video for "Dad" can be viewed below- a song for Hutchinson's father. The entire EP is dedicated in full to his father, which can be heard below the video. February 23rd, the EP release date, would have been his father's 52nd birthday. Enjoy this one. - Jenkins

Bio

"Arkavello is a talented young duo hailing from Edmonton, Alberta. They were brought together through the love of music and their will to make a positive change on the planet. The trio combines elements of Rock,Pop,Folk and Jazz into a diverse sound never heard before. With beautiful harmonies that are as delicate as they are powerful, intricate guitar riffs, groovy bass lines and distinctive tribal drum patterns, they continue to grow and evolve as musicians while pushing the boundaries of music itself.

Their lyrical themes are made to spiritually awaken humanity through opening of the third eye. With topics ranging from the Illuminati, aliens and ancient archetypes Arkavello’s message is quite clear, there is something going on behind the curtains of our world and it feels quite misanthropic. With this in mind, they want the people of Earth to stand up and fight for love and peace through universal consciousness. Humanity needs to be aware and ready for the changes that are coming.

Arkavello also tunes all their instruments to 432 Hz, which is believed to be aligned with the cosmic vibrations of the universe and give a more enlightened reaction to the mind and body.

On October 22nd 2015, Arkavello released their debut EP "Songs from the Future", which has received rave reviews from all across the world!
