"Andi Silvas Brings A Newer, Edgier, Latin Sound to Country Music"

As an up and coming music artist, Andi Silvas has definitely got what it takes and then some. She's got this beautiful voice that is hard not to listen to. It's very country, yet she has other elements in her music such as pop. Plus, she sings in Spanish! - CountryMusicNotes

Bio

I’m Andrea Silvas, I’ve pretty much gone by “Andi” all my life. I was born and raised in The Valley of the Sun, Arizona. My pops works in mining and my momma is an elementary school teacher. I’m extremely proud of my latin heritage. I’ve been singing ever since I can remember. My fondest childhood memories are of me singing on my bed, using my brush as a microphone, while looking down at my always loyal and modestly quiet audience, my stuffed animals. My family believed that music is a part of life, so in any event or activity, you could always count on music to be the main focus.

I grew up with an eclectic music background. When I was 7, I started playing the violin in school, so there was a period that I listened to a lot of classical, opera, and theater music. I remember seeing the Phantom of the Opera for the first time, afterwards, I had my mom buy me the album. I learned the entire album in one day and taught myself how to play the piano so that I could play and sing the songs in unison. I also had an on again off again relationship with the 6-string.

In 2010, I decided to head out to Nashville to record my EP. Upon completion of “I’d Rather Be A Happy,” I moved out East to promote the album and work with more producers. After living in the Big Apple and in that good ol’ Georgia Clay for a little over a year, I set out back West to work on my latest project “Poor Man’s Daughter” with the amazing grammy winning producer, Joshua “Igloo” Monroy. It’s a little bit country, it’s a little bit rock-n-roll! We managed to organically create a new Country- Alternative sound while incorporating a lot of blues elements. A couple of my biggest accomplishments include a feature of my live performance on NBC SoundDiego and being named 4th most viewed video on Billboard. com, between the ranks of mega stars Chris Brown and Justin Beiber.

Stay tuned for my album release of, “Poor Man’s Daughter” coming this fall!
