Amberlee Sheehan

Amberlee is a Chicago-based singer/songwriter of the country, folk/rock persuasion. She grew up in the mid-western town of Grand Rapids, Michigan where, at an early age, her southern-bred father exposed her to the timeless country music of artists such as Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Patty Loveless. Amberlee moved to Chicago in her mid-20's where she was exposed to a richer variety of music that impacted her development as a songwriter and performer. Amberlee currently lives in Chicago and performs at various venues throughout the midwest. She recently released her debut album, titled Old Love Letter, which contains 11 original songs. The songs on the album incorporate traditional country music with a progressive folk/rock edge and feature thoughtful, personal lyrics that are delivered with sweet and sincere vocals. Her music is a refreshing change from the fluffy, mass-produced pop/country sound that has become the standard in today's commercial country music.
