Aly Jados
Chicago, Illinois, United States | Established. Jan 01, 2012
Bio
Armed with her hand-me-down ’78 Gibson Les Paul and powerhouse vocals that could shake walls, Chicago singer/songwriter Aly Jados performs with everything she’s got — heart, soul, sweat and tears.
Performing since the tender age of 13, Aly's unique voice (raw, soulful and bluesy with more than a little grit) not only earned her spots on Fox’s “American Idol” in 2011, and NBC’s hit vocal competition “The Voice” in 2012, but one on 2015's all-female Kiss cover album, Kiss and Makeup, which was supported by original band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.
That's not to say she isn't plenty busy with original work of her own: Following her 2012 debut EP Don't Come Easy and its accompanying buzz-worthy single "Waiting," Aly released her second Kickstarter-funded EP, Was Here just last year. The album's radio-worthy track "Hold On" has been trending on YouTube since, and for good reason: Her lyrics weave a story that almost anyone can relate to.
These days, you still can catch her with her trusty Les Paul slung over her shoulder by a Kiss guitar strap, rocking rooms all throughout Chicago, where she plays monthly residencies to her growing base of loyal fans. With new material in the works and a thirst for the limelight, however, there's no telling for how long: This girl's bound for rock 'n' roll stardom.
