Bio
Our band began in our freshman residence hall at USC. Mattan Cohen and Preston Walker met and began writing some songs and arranging them for a full band, including violin, mandolin, piano, guitar, bass and drums. Starting in the fall of 2011, Alphabet began performing in the Los Angeles area and on the USC campus. In April of 2012, we were lucky enough to perform at USC Springfest with Macklemore, Anberlin, and Wolfgang Gartner. Our chamber/folk/rock sound is inspired by the likes of Arcade Fire, The Shins, Queen, Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.
