ALMOST CLASSY EP REVIEW
Almost Classy's debut EP is a fantastic Rock-Pop adventure, due out on April 23rd 2013. Comprised of Aaron Bernbach (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Rob Cunliffe (Vocals, Lead Guitar), Devin McNichol (Vocals, Bass) and Ian Lowe (Drums); they hail from all over the country, bringing a wide range of musical backgrounds with them to the table in this record. Relatively new to Los Agneles, They have worked hard to build a strong and dedicated fan base by performing at iconic as well as lesser know LA venues. The rest of their time is spent honing their own unique blend of Pop-Rock, tinged with hints of their biggest inspirations ranging from Guster, to early Maroon 5, and even the Foo Fighters. Their authentic, harmony heavy style is pulled right from classic bands like Queen, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and The Beatles; sweetening their tracks with a uniqueness that sets them apart from their musical peers. With a wide variety of influences from all genres of music, Almost Classy has crafted a positive, energetic and upbeat EP that is sure to find a wide audience.
While the band demonstrates a blend of genres and sounds on this record, they also exhibit the unique ability to weave them into a cohesive style that is all their own, making their flexibility part of what excites us about them. This Pop-Rock-Alt-Country-HipHop Jam of an EP has an invigoratingly fresh, and undeniably catchy sound that has broken the mold of what mixed genre bands can accomplish without overstepping bounds or boring audiences with self indulgence. Hailing from all over the country, we are thrilled to be living, writing, and playing music in Southern California. Together since 2012, we have been sharing our Alternative Rock-Pop tunes with venues all over Los Angeles for the last few years, steadily building a fan base and reputation within the music scene of So-Cal. With the release of our debut EP in April 2013, we have licensed music in new hit web series and toured extensively across the US at colleges, clubs, private parties & vineyards. We pride ourselves in bringing high, addicting energy to every performance inspiring audiences of all ages to get up, dance, and leave feeling good!
Our influences and inspirations are a great many, but to name a few... Dispatch, Guster and O.A.R. have helped define bits of our jammier side, while Foo Fighters, Weezer, Young The Giant and early Maroon 5 have informed our harder edges. Our stacking of harmonies is definitely reminiscent of Queen, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and The Beatles.
