Bio
The lyric, “I was born in a small town, I was raised in a small town, live and die in a small town, a small community”, does not apply to Georgia bred David Bowick. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a Degree in Music Production and Engineering, Bowick decided to take the trip out West. After working at Record Plant Studios and opening up for bands such as the Plain White T’s in his old Boston based band The Broken Word, Bowick decided to go it alone.
Alder, the lifelong dream of this now Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, is coming to life. It’s the soundtrack for driving your car along the beaches of California at sunset. Memorable melodies, exotic instrumentation, and tasteful amounts of that “indie” sound with pure pop/rock sensibilities, Alder will draw not only your ears, but your heart. With songs that everyone can relate to, don’t be surprised to hear “Answers” as the theme song for the next Laguna Beach.
Written and recorded mostly by David himself, look for Alder’s debut album “Long Way Down” in February of 2008.
