Bio
Adolyne have just finished the recording process for their third record "Of Ash, Of Shit, Of Shame", which is set for release through NO LIST records for the summer of 2013. The album is the most realized and accurate documentation of the band in their most volatile element, as a live entity. Recorded almost entirely live off of the floor, the band and revered engineer Craig Boychuck (notable for his work with KEN mode, Fuck the Facts, and countless others) slaved tirelessly to properly capture the fevered pitch of Adolyne's notorious live bombast.
Adolyne incites an ugly musical knife fight between 90's Noise mongers from the heavier end of the Amphetamine Reptile fold (Today is the day, The Melvins, Unsane) and the brooding sonic theorists of the Hydra Head Industries class (Old Man Gloom, Keelhaul), while assorted voices from the post-hardcore and math-rock crowds goad them on with unpredictable and dangerous advice. For those who haven't the time or stomach to be entirely educated on the background of this savage rumble though, journalist and filmmaker Craig Sillaphant was best able to express what to expect from Adolyne in his review which warned "Adolyne is a cathartic, primal force that will tear down your soul and spit it in your face..... It’s usually a cliché to say something defies categorization, but I’ll take a punch in the face before I’ll offer a definitive description of the music that Adolyne makes. It’s best to just get the hell out of the way."
They have shared the stage with the varied likes of KEN mode, Fuck the Facts, Buried inside, Bison B.C, Jucifer and most notably with Noise-core originators Today is the day in New York City when they were invited to take part in one of the last runs of concerts at the legendary CBGB's prior to its closing. In preparation for their upcoming record the band showcased their latest material on two western Canadian outings and were greeted with a unanimously floored response from converts old and new.
