Canadian punk band Adelleda are known for frenzied live shows that get the audience moving and the fists pumping. On this four-song EP, it's easy to find out why.
Opening track 5 Months in England kicks off the album in energetic style. A fast, fun song about self-destruction. The song ends on a hilarious note with "maybe it's just the fucking weather!"
Faster, heavier song Just A Shame has a slow build-up that leads to a riff equivalent to a kick in the teeth. The growling and screaming from Adam Shea really helps to bring out the aggression.
Don't Worry I'm Drunk doesn't add much, but throws in electrifying guitar solo for good measure. While not showing the band at their best, It works as a single.
The album finishes with Motörhead-espue rocker Champion, which ends the album in thrilling fashion, with Shea screaming his guts out and an electrifying guitar solo from Chris Allen.
Acknowledgement should go to drummer Simon Marshall, who is unrelenting in his pounding of the skins and never once slows down.
Verdict: 5/6. One thing's absolutely certain, Adelleda really know how to make songs with which to whip a crowd into a frenzy and start a good mosh pit.

Adelleda's Videos and Albums on Skatepunkers.net - Skate Punkers
Sometimes it seems like Canada has it all: public health care, better maple syrup, and a plethora of damn good skate influenced punk rock. Ontario based Adelleda is the latest band to add to great canadian punk, and their 8 track “Herkimer Street” is 20 minutes of melodic skate bliss.
While I realize that it’s certainly cliche to compare a melodic punk band to early Propagandhi, I can’t help but listen to some of Adelleda’s riff’s and be reminded of the Manitoba legends (hell, their song Implausible Denial reminds me of I-Spy a bit before I even knew where they were from). Adelleda is able to avoid pigeon holing themselves though by pulling influences from other melodic hardcore bands. Song GBN is incredibly reminiscent of Ignite and opener Farley reminds me a bit of Vision.
If you’re a fan of melodic punk rock at all, it’s hard to steer wrong with Adelleda’s “Herkimer Street”. Oh, and I forgot to mention they offer it up on their bandcamp completely for free… so really, what are you waiting for?
