“Travel On” is a superb song with strong lyrics. The woman is spinning her wheels in a relationship with a man who doesn’t love her back like he should. She finally gathers enough strength to “travel on” and we find hope in this newfound independence and power. The song lets us know that you’re better off alone than to be with someone who doesn’t treat you right.
When I listen to “Travel On,” I find myself tapping my foot along and losing myself in the energetic and inspirational rhythm of the music. Addie sings the song with contagious confidence and we can feel the strength radiating from her voice, the rhythm, and the powerful lyrics.

Addie Loy’s “Anything For You” is a song that everyone can identify with. She sings the song with such conviction, passion, and emotion that we, as listeners, are fully convinced of the honesty in the words.
The lyrics focus on the bonds we form with someone special by enjoying the simple things in life together, and the resulting dependence and love that develops for that person because of that bond. As the title suggests, we would “do anything” for that person. As she sings about the break up, we can picture him walking away and we feel her frustrations as sings of all she did for him.
The song may seem like an ordinary heartbreak song, but it’s unique contemporary, yet new age country sound, captures the ears of the listener. The comforting music of the guitar, the heartfelt lyrics, along with the passionate voice of Addie are all a perfect combination for an outstanding, entertaining song.

Originally from Detroit, this Kentuckian has great vocal versatility, singing in an intimate, swoony plaintiveness one minute, then gruffily belting out a bluesy, blistering growl of which Janis Joplin would be proud. Loy has been doing some summer touring, working on connecting with audiences through her songs, something she prides herself in.

Reigning from her stomping grounds of Detroit, Michigan, and currently residing in Kentucky, Addie blends an array of Acoustic styles and Rhythmic forms of her guitar to create her signature, Contemporary and Folk sound. As Addie has been writing music for the past two years, she illustrates her lyrics with situations and circumstances that mirror the existence of everyday life. Addie embarked upon her musical passions during her most poignant, teenage years; singing in both her middle school and high school choirs. Picking up the guitar at the tender age of fourteen, as well as studying the art of dance, Addie has mastered the essence of her artistic grace. Influenced by mainstream, industry artists who include, Fleetwood Mac, Tori Amos, Paula Cole, Marc Knoffler and Cat Stevans, Patti Smith and many more. Addie released a ten track, studio LP in the summer of 2008. Anything For You was released in part of Tobone Records, and is thematically based upon a song written by Addie and her creative partner, Dave. The critical and commercial success of the debut compilation has garnered Addie airplay on several radio stations throughout Kentucky. As Pam Southwell, in association with RPW Records is working to promote Addie's song on several radio stations throughout the country, she continues to receive exposure via the web showcase, Women Of Substance Radio.
Addie continues to use her music as a platform to encourage others in the world to forge forward; following their dreams at full force. Addie was recently named Woman Of The Year for teaching, as well as performing, writing, recording and instructing guitar on a full-time basis. Addie's songs evoke a sense of strength and determination during moments of weakness and vulnerability. Addie prides herself on being able to motivate her listeners to bring their dreams to fruition without giving up on the passions that have always filled their spirits and souls. To share her message with mass audiences, Addie continues to take center stage at a slew of concert, festival, bar and club venues in TN, GA, OH and MI. Addie has been privileged to perform alongside TOBONE, Julie Shurr and Sista Otis, as she has also played for major, charitable organizations that include Operation Unite at Summerfest in Barbourville, KY. Without depending upon the falsehoods of tricks and gimmicks, Addie continues to entertain live audiences with the pure essence and quality of her performances. With accompaniment from Joe on Bass and Hurley on Drums, Addie is working towards remastering her debut project, along with garnering a plethora of commercial recognition. Ultimately, as Addie desires to release a new album every two years, she aspires to continue making music that will solidify her as a mainstay of the music industry.
