Adam Gormley Drums

Glasgow based drummer Adam Gormley was drawn to the drum kit at the age of 14. He has studied drums for the last six years under the guidance of Gordon Wilson of Glasgow band Love and Money and additionally with Allan James of The Byson Family whilst studying in his first year of his HND at The Academy of Music and Sound in Glasgow. He is currently completing his studies at Riverside Music College in Glasgow under Stuart Kidd of The Soup Dragons. He also enjoys studying piano under Andy Alston of Glasgow band Del Amitri. His major influences are George Daniel of The 1975 and Charlie Watts of The Rolling Stones.

Adam likes to experiment with different genres of music (pop, rock, funk and metal) and loves to collaborate. He is an enthusiastic follower of the rich and diverse Glasgow music scene attending gigs in the city whenever possible and having played himself at venues including Mono, Audio, Stereo, Ivory Blacks, and the Classic Grand.

A devoted acoustic player, Adam also doubles on electronic kits when the style calls for it.
