7th Cycle – Reminded me of Five Finger Death Punch, with melodic yet heavy songs that cry out for radio airplay. Probably one of the most polished acts of the day, took a risk by covering Britney Spear’s “Toxic” with an awesome metal crunch. Were joined for a song by Tim Buchenroth (Woodshock’s founder) on bass. - http://www.therimofhell.com
Another Ohio act, 7th Cycle, opened the day with a great set that showed why they won the chance to play at Rock on the Range. - Written and Edited by Valerie DiSalvio - Senior Photographer and Editor for For the Love of Rock
No rock band in the world wants to hear that they are playing at a festival in the morning. Local band 7th Cycle made the most of a potentially drab situation by bringing in a record crowd for their 11:30 AM performance on Sunday. They rocked the stage with songs like My Enemy, off their 2010 album Small Town Drama, and the passionate new song Watch You Burn. But they got the biggest response with their closing number, a fun cover of House of Pain’s Jump Around. - Karen Van Hoff
Sunday began as a continuation of not only the amazing music, but of the beautiful weather as well. 7th Cycle, another local band, started off the show with impressive lyrics that demonstrated that just because they don’t have many hit songs playing on the radio, they are still worthy of their position as lead-off band for the festivities. - Dan Kester

Whenever I'm not sure where to go on any given night, I find myself at O'Sheckys on Busch Blvd. There's almost always a great band or several, and 7th Cycle was one of them.
Straight up hard rock with a twist, they're quick to like, and easy to enjoy. The lead singer, while intimating in size, appears to be quite gentle and humble wandering around before his set, but let's off his inhibitions and rocks the place out with a metal brand that borders rapcore.
Covering House of Pain's "Jump Around" (which was also covered by Limp Bizkit) with a guest back-up vocalist, they got a few more people up out of their seats. Relaxing in a chair near the front, I was getting a bit nervous that wasn't going to be safe for a minute. But then again, that would've been very Rock n' Roll to have gotten dragged into the near-moshpit.
7th Cycle, a very fun band to see live. And they sell merchandise at their shows, so bring cash - something I failed to do this time, but will next time! - Columbus Music Review

Bio
Remember when Rock music shook you to the core? 7th Cycle is influenced by both hard rock and early nineties rock bands, 7th Cycle maintains a different viewpoint from many of their contemporaries, having witnessed firsthand the struggles that can affect the human spirit. My job influenced the lyrics that I write because I have seen people in their greatest and in their worst moments, says vocalist Dustin Grove, who once worked as a detective, I have seen how souls can be touched and how souls can be crushed.
The journey of 7th Cycle really started to take off within the last 4 years. They have won 3 Midwest battles of the bands. Were named 2009 Artist to watch by Skope Magazine. Along with their tri-state area touring, they played Rock on the Range in 2011 as well as Rockapalooza later in the same year. They have been a main stage act for the Woodshock Festival two years consecutively. 7th Cycle has shared the stage with well over 100 national touring acts including Papa Roach, Hinder, Seether, AFI, Drowning Pool, Sevendust, and Avenged Sevenfold to name a few. In 2012, 7th Cycle toured as a supporting act for the Graveyard of Empires Tour 2012 with Evans|Blue.
7th Cycle has clearly begun to create their impression on the industry. 7th Cycle has been added to over 20 internet radio sites, 16,000 digital juke boxes, and secured placement for their songs in independent films: Enlightenment, Reckless Operation, "The Dirt Racing Connection," is featured on the "Flat Track Fan website (http://flattrackfan.webs.com/) and have also played live on Fox 28s Good Day Columbus, which is the most popular morning television show in Ohio. They are also featured in the book: All Access: A View Through the Lens Volume 1 by photographer and author, Christopher Stets.
7th Cycle recorded their first album, My Lies Within, at Track Six Studio (Hed PE, Drivers Side Impact), with producer Don Debiase (Forever in Terror, Beneath the Sky). Released in January of 2008, it quickly became a regional favorite, selling several thousand of copies and leading to the filming of the bands first music video, for the song Turn Away.
In March of 2010, 7th Cycle recorded and released their second album titled "Small Town Drama" this time with producer Bryan Patrick (Sinomatic, Cherry Monroe, Downplay.) Small Town Drama has sold 6500 copies since its release. 7th Cycle is currently touring and supporting this album with close to 150 shows played in 2011 and 2012 combined. 7th Cycle plans to release their 3rd and newest album entitled: Out of Many, One in 2014.
